Before our Lord Jesus ascended to heaven, He instructed His disciples to make disciples for God from every people, tribe, and tongue. At Sunset Church, we understand that obedience to this command is through the local church. Therefore, our partnerships to equip and mobilize local churches in fulfilling our Lord’s last command on earth. You can learn more about these partnerships here.

Get Involved In The City

  • Alpha Pregnancy Center

    Alpha Pregnancy Center economically, emotionally, and spiritually empowers women and families facing an unplanned pregnancy. Through their various services, APC is working to ensure that women have complete support when faced with an unplanned pregnancy. You can be involved in volunteer opportunities ranging from office organization to delivering care packages for expecting mothers.

  • Because Justice Matters

    BJM is committed to building pathways to helping women in urban communities to have brighter futures. BJM believes in creating intentional relationships for women and communities to encounter Christ. Some of these spaces include pizza pop-ups, a monthly Nail Day, and Dance classes.

  • Child Evangelical Fellowship

    CEF is a Bible-centered, interdenominational, worldwide organization, composed of born-again believers whose purpose and mission are to evangelize boys and girls with the Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ, disciple them in the Word of God, and establish them in a Bible-believing church for Christian living.

  • Mobilize Love

    Mobilize Love is a city-wide mobile outreach for children, youth, and families in San Francisco. ML deploys a fleet of outreach trucks to give underprivileged families access to mentorship relationships as well as food security, education, and medical resource services.

  • Old Skool Cafe

    Old Skool Cafe provides training on restaurant management and different life skills along with the gospel to at-risk youth. There is a range of ways you can get involved from individual and one-time serving to regular meetings. They are looking for people who are interested to teach a class on different life skills like finance and budgeting or job interviews, etc. If you are looking for something more regular, you can sign up to mentor for the youth. An easy way to support them is to go to dinner at the cafe once every or every other month.

  • YWAM

    YWAM seeks to engage the city of San Francisco with a loving God by reaching out to each sphere of society in unique, relevant, and creative ways. Below are a few of YWAM’s many volunteer opportunities to show God’s love to our community members living in the Tenderloin District.

    • Food Pantry: Thursdays 1:00-4:00PM

    • Hot Chocolate Serving: Fridays 6:45-9:00pm

    • Restoration Initiatives: Mo/Tu/We/Fr 10:30-4:30pm

    • Pop-Up Church: Sundays 7:20-9AM

  • Hands At Work

    Hands at Work in Africa provides resources and “scaffolding” so that fellow Christians from local churches might be able to care for the widows and orphans in their impoverished communities. Sunset Church partners with Hands at Work in Africa through sponsorship of a community in Zambia, prayer as led by our Sunset Africa Ministry, and by sending teams to see the work God is doing through the local church.

  • Overseas Missionary Fellowship (OMF)

    Overseas Missionary Fellowship (OMF) is a global fellowship of Christians with a heart for the lost throughout East Asia. Sunset Church partners with OMF through sponsored missionary units overseas, locally, and by serving on their Board of Directors.
